Accreditation Decisions - COA Accredited Fellowships

Notice of the following accreditation and related decisions is provided to the U.S. Department of Education by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs (COA) following accreditation meetings. Only those fellowships reviewed at the May 2014 Council meeting are listed. Anyone interested in the accreditation status of all CRNA fellowships can find this information in the official List of Accredited Fellowships. Questions can be directed to the Council's office by contacting us at accreditation@coa.us.com or (847) 655-1160.

Initial Accreditation – Fellowships – Approved​

Children’s Hospital of Michigan Fellowship in Pediatric Nurse Anesthesia
Detroit, Mich. 

The Children’s Hospital of Michigan Fellowship in Pediatric Nurse Anesthesia Management was granted initial accreditation for five years effective April 16, 2018. The fellowship was found in full compliance with the Standards for Accreditation of Post-Graduate CRNA Fellowships. Given this action, the fellowship will be scheduled for its next consideration of continued accreditation in Spring 2023. The COA may change this to an earlier time as a result of new or additional information, changes in the activities of the fellowship, or changes needed in the accreditation review schedule.

University of South Florida College of Nursing Simulation-Based Fellowship in Advanced Pain Management.

The University of South Florida College of Nursing Simulation-Based Fellowship in Advanced Pain Management was granted initial accreditation for five years effective July 26, 2017. The fellowship was found in full compliance with the Standards for Accreditation of Post-Graduate CRNA Fellowships. Given this action, the fellowship will be scheduled for its next consideration of continued accreditation in Fall 2022. The COA may change this to an earlier time as a result of new or additional information, changes in the activities of the fellowship, or changes needed in the accreditation review schedule.​
